What to bring to a first appointment in Georgia
Walking into a first appointment without your records means spending the visit reconstructing them from memory. A few minutes of preparation buys you most of the consultation back.
Bring photo ID and your insurance details if you have them. Most clinics in Tbilisi will ask for both at reception, and not having them is the most common reason a visit starts late.
Write down every medication you take, including the dose and how often. This is the single most useful thing you can prepare. Supplements and contraceptives count — they interact with prescriptions more often than people expect.
Bring your recent test results on paper or on your phone. A lab report from three months ago changes what a doctor looks for today, and repeating a test you have already had costs you both time and money.
Finally, write down your questions before you go. Appointments are short and it is normal to forget the thing you actually came to ask.
